Multimodal Molecular Imaging In Vivo

چکیده
In medical research and practice, imaging is now playing a crucial role. With rapidly developing molecular imaging, the role of in vivo imaging is expected to expand much more. In molecular imaging, one of the recent trends is multimodal imaging, which theoretically combines all the strengths of each imaging modality and consequently provides synergism. For this, many multimodal imaging probes have been developed so far. However, multimodal probe imaging is different from simple fusion images using multimodal imaging instruments. To maximize the effectiveness of multimodal in vivo imaging, practical application methods and delicate design of imaging probes are essential. Here, imaging instruments and probes for multimodal in vivo imaging are briefly reviewed and practical application is

I-55: Molecular Imaging Overview
Molecular imaging is the noninvasive visualization of normal as well as abnormal cellular processes at a molecular or genetic level of function. It is used to provide characterization and measurement of biological processes in living animals and humans (in vivo). The discipline of molecular imaging evolved rapidly over the past decade through the integration of cell biology, molecular biology a...
متن کاملCell tracking using multimodal imaging.
In vivo imaging plays a key role in cell tracking, particularly for the optimization of cellular therapeutics. A recent trend is to use more than one imaging modality (multimodality imaging) for this purpose. There are several advantages to multimodal cell tracking, particularly the corroboration of data obtained using a new imaging agent or technique with an established one, and the ability to...

RATIONALE The formation and maintenance of a functional vasculature is essential for normal embryonic development, and genetic changes that affect the vasculature underlie pathogenesis in many human diseases. In vivo imaging in mouse models is required to understand the full complexity of mammalian vascular formation, which is a dynamic and 3-dimensional process. Optical microscopy of genetical...
